Yes, that is correct. I called them to make sure this information was correct and they confirmed it.

Hopefully this will bring down the upgrade time quite a bit.

That was new to me, that I missed completely and I also were in contact with them about the upgrade process.

Océane Turpin at Devialet support tell me this today:
The whole electronics change, only the case stays the same. Even the serial number changes.

To me it would be strange if the chassi were also changed if they are the same in the Expert and Expert PRO, why would they do that without a reson?

The reason could be that it is probably more labor intensive and more expensive to retrofit existing chassis with new electronics instead of just producing new units in the factory.
I suppose it would be a lot easier for them to just swap the units over and deal with changing the electronics later in their own time. But then what about any case blemishes etc - that would cost them money as they wouldn't be able to use them.

Also, if they were doing a swap, they could just let you collect your new one from a dealer and hand in your old one, and save the two week wait.

My guess is it's another slightly lost in translation thing.
My guess is that this is replacing the bottom plate of the chassis.
Who will be the guinea pig and get the upgrade so we can see how the upgrade works and what will be changed Smile
