It is very telling to see the experience of someone who was an early adopter of multiple top-of-the-line Devialet products, a founder of the best support network for Devialet customers, and a lucrative customer of a top dealer. If Devialet can't communicate with <100 top customers who bought a piece autographed by their principles then what hope is there for we anonymous many with lesser products? Devialet signed the OdA casework yet can't send a form-letter to a few people? It is important to know how much communication is for show and how much is real. Thanks for sharing, GuillaumeB.

Second this.  You are the premier customer who started the one location that I could find for valid Devialet support and, sadly, you are, rightfully, miffed.  Wonder if these guy in Paris get this.
Hello, Guillaume. It is really strange you are/were a big fan of Devialet but said these things.

So :
- Merely they allow we users to post our views on 'firmware 10.0.2' and 'love is in the Air' on their website IS a good start (PS. guys please post there) but IS NOT good enough;
- They should state clearly and in details their products as much as possible albeit not letting others copying Devialet. I mean how come O'dA user Guillaume can not tell others in confidence the difference between O'dA and PRO1000. Other brands' users would laugh at us, right?
- Show to us that we are the valuable customers of the Company. Maybe it can simply start by showing more respect to the less than 100 O'dA owners. Maybe in the form of letters telling these owners they are all invited to be the secret (NDA?) beta testers of all the newest technologies during research and before official release (it is what is for these die-hard fans).

O'dA owners may think that they will be served last in the upgrade queue because they don't need to pay for the upgrade whilst others are and cause the latter an arm and a leg. In short, O'dAs should be upgraded before all the others.

Guillaume, you should feel miffed.
This is us (we all seem to be in different stages):

Maybe Devialet can make up to the O d'A owners by doing the upgrade WITH streamer board before anyone else gets the streamer board. Then at least we'll be first with something...Beta testing probably  Huh
To me who recently upgraded to D400, it would be interesting to test the D400 against the D440 to see if it really represents a US$6,XXX improvement.

If not I will just stick to the D400 which I have been quite happy with. Remember, new upgrades do not make your current units sounding any worse.

Agreed - I will be doing the same.

I think another interesting comparison will be the choice between upgrading your 200 to a 220, or using the same funds to buy another 200 and go dual mono 400. Surely the 400 would be better? Will be interesting to find out!

Interesting thought, you mean to upgrade to 220 and buy another 200 to get 2 sets of amps?

I guess it would be a good setup for someone who needs 2 sets of stereo systems.

The cost to upgrade a 200 to 220 is not a lot different to buying a used D200. Therefore if i only owned a D200, i'd be tossing up between upgarding my D200 to a D220, or buying a second hand D200 to add to what i already haveand therefore have a D400...

Just thinking in the same line as Wikeeboy here. The D220Pro must be very good to be better than a D400 for (almost) the same prize.
