Devialet 1000 Pro - There really is nothing like the Devialet, every review, even from the most respected journalists who have heard it all can’t say enough good things about the whole range. It is certainly revolutionary with many patents against it including the hybrid power design at its heart, using both Class A to voice it and Class D to power it, all very clever. Not to forget the online Configurator, Ipad app, Streamer section, built in phono stage, high quality DAC that up samples all sources to 24/192, even vinyl + free firmware updates for life, oh yes and it looks quite nice too. Devialet could well be the ‘Future Of HiFi’ so why not pop in to HFL to see and hear it for yourself.

I have to say though, I don't fully understand the D800 trade in offer?
Wow, they're offering to take people's D800's off them for a very generous three and a half grand?
Before you jump at it - I'll offer four. I imagine most people would have already traded in by now though just in case the offer closes. Damn.

As I understand it what they are saying is that currently Devialet has a 15% reduction on their 'old' models when you trade in ANY hifi (eg. old amp, cd player etc)
they are also claiming that you will be able to upgrade a D800 to D1000 for £3990 !! (not sure that Devialet has even released pricing of upgrades yet)
The dealers have been provided with the indicative pricing for the upgrade. Whether they can now disclose this officially, I have no idea.

I have talked to my dealer and he knows more than he tells me that is for shure......after dealing with him for a couple of years I know when he is hiding something

Hmm... but what if this is some evil and sadistic kind of reversed psychology? Maybe Devialet wants us to almost hate them for doing this and THEN revealing that the upgrade is super cheap AND spectacular!!
That would make at least me almost cry of relief and want to hug the entire Devialet crew in an "all is forgiven" outburst of gratitude. ?

Well that would be wise (providing some benefit to customers in return after the massive trouble customers had to face for their promises like AIR etc) - and concerning customer appreciation they did really worse. But there is at least hope they realize in the end that it's not just about technology or design

Well, I do...would very much like to know if I am looking at 2000 or 6000.
Speculation only makes us anguished. Why don't we just ignore the noises, treat it as if nothing happens, and enjoy our Devialet?
