when i enquired from customer services i was referred to the website pricing despite only buying in may.
Prices (SEK) for the new PRO models and prices (SEK) for the upgrades are coming next week to us that lives in Sweden. Information about how the upgrade is performed would also come out (I asked if it had to go throug the dealer or directly to the distributer/Devialet).

Yeah, not very smart of Devialet. The prices of the new equipment are quite varied between 120 and 800 so it would be very safe to say that someone who owns a 120 doesn't have the cash lying around like someone who can afford the top model. For most people, just to save the money to get the upgrade can take more than 3 months.

On top of that, as it stands now, there's the odd 1000 Pro demonstrator around. How the hell are you supposed to evaluate whether or not the upgrade is worth it for your 200? And then there's the 'half now, half next year (Going by the Dialog, read next decade) issue.

Come on Devialet. If you read this, use your brains. Who is going to fork out that kind of money for something they can't evaluate given your track record with Dialog and AIR.

Sorry to bring AIR into this again guys. Please don't go off into another AIR thread.

Don't forget, I still have a 200 and it looks like selling it isn't worth it anymore. So I'm looking at maybe keeping it and, If the streamer is really good, would like to upgrade some time. But definitely not this year or even next year. So that puts me in the group of people who can't afford the upgrade now. And, if Sept-Dec is true, never will.
I really can't believe they are going to offer such a narrow window for the upgrade, it should be 12 months minimum. I hadn't budgeted to spend anything this year on the stereo after buying a D400 and a pair of PMC 20.26's last year....now either I fork out money I don't really have or I face having a D400 set which are depreciating heavily as a prospective s/hand buyer can't upgrade them either. Not great.

Yes I agree. I think Linn keep their upgrade schemes open indefinitely and they work really well. Having said that I am pretty sure the PRO upgrade will be offered well into 2017.
