Looks like Devialet has developped their own DAC technology for at least the Phantom Gold. Perhaps they'll use the same base technology in the Expert ADH stage.

I almost can't imagine they've actually developped their own DAC circuitry/IC from ground up but perhaps they have, or they've just OEM'ed something that they may or may not have also integrated in their own ICs.

Good spot. Hard to say what "embedded" means. FPGA based DA conversion?

That may be an issue of integration and cost. Each Phantom has 4 ADH amplifiers with SAM on 3 of them, iirc.
Looks like the Expert 1000 PRO has been "launched".

Details below from a dealer's website.  Some more "colour" on what changes have been made but mainly an elaboration on what Devialet has indicated will be be included in the "upgrade" http://devialetchat.com/showthread.php?tid=3143

Launching soon.

With the new Expert PRO line, Devialet engineers have once again pushed back the frontiers of audiophile performances. Today, we are proud to introduce our latest technical masterpiece: the 1000 PRO.

With 5 new patents, a power output of 1000 Watts and unprecedented performance, Devialet unveils a breathtaking piece of engineering. The measured amplification of the 1000 PRO is now best-in-class at all power levels.

THD+noise : 0,00025 %
Signal to Noise ratio : 133 dB

New version of ADH Intelligence®, the most advanced yet, with an improved ADH loop regulation algorithm and a 4x improvement of the signal precision control.

New Class A amplifier reducing harmonic distorsion rate and power consumption.

New Class D amplifier inducing a power transmission improved by 25%.

New power supply handling transient loads twice as fast.

New thermal management dissipating heat twice as fast.

New architecture allowing integration of future hardware and software evolutions.

So, they will upgrade my D120 into a 1000 Watts amplifier ??? Huh

LOL, no.  800 -> 1000.

No details of the changes to the other models, yet.

Maybe some sort of PWN digital conversion

That's what I heard.
