Anyone out there?

Not an answer to your query but my position against (in my case 5990 eur)
Let's imagine insured freight each way is 300 eur, so 600.
The board and all the little bits is, say, 1200 eur.
Handling, etc, 600.
Lets imagine my estimate is out on the board by 50%, the total is still about half the cost of the upgrade....so they had a sale once then, now, another.
Love to know my amateur estimate is wrong.
It would be completely naive for me to assume that any company I deal with is my friend but this doesn't appears to offer any recognition of customer loyalty nor previous expense.
This upgrade should be marginally above cost.

They have admitted to not listening when doing changes. I don't think there is a reason for anyone to upgrade at the prices they want other than 120 or D'Premier owners.

Maybe slightly more difference than a £2000 connection cable!!

I'm quite interested in the upgrade. Was thinking of getting another 200 used some day. Now I'd rather upgrade to 220. One box less. Don't have to buy another expensive power cord and digital cable. Also with my horns I do not need the additional power the upgrade to 400 provides.

Wondering whether the upgraded boards can be user installed? I live in Indonesia where Devialet does not have any dealer.
if you enjoy in your devielet amp, why you need upgrade? ignore them and listen music.

1) I have Hungry speakers KEF 203/2 220 Pro will be a great help.
2) Class-A amp is of higher power. This is current waveforms, which gets 3 x the current follower will help to strengthen the signal and more stable it is. Hence SQ
3) New Computer architecture - future upgrades etc.
4) Pre-Out on Le 120 addition
5) New ADC PCM4202 - the best in class out there and an upgrade.

Now if you ask me to audition first before committing, I will never have access while in India as existing dealer also ran away (kidding. out of Devialet).

I dont even know how this will happen, without dealer, how will Dev-Folks help me to carry out the transport-upgrade-customs etc - again your honest question suddenly made me to realize that I m living in denial for the sake of SQ.

It might be worth asking Frank (F1eng) about upgrading, as he has horns with an Od'A.

As you're a Le120 owner, your inclination to upgrade makes sense to me.

Does anyone know: will future upgrade software paths be different for Pro and non-Pro versions? In other words, will not upgrading mean that some future SW upgrades won't be available to me?

I don't think anyone knows.

It is easy enough to write code that would work for both PRO and Non-PRO hardware.

It is just a question of whether or not Devialet choose to do so.

BTW As there is a new 130 PRO, why isn't the 120 upgradeable to the 130 PRO?
Good posting, is my question also and to me it looks like a mistake: why isn`t the 120 upgradable to 130? At this moment you can buy a 120 with a lot of discount, with the upgrade price you have a 200 pro for the price of the regular 200..
If that's your intention, quickly grab any Le120 on sale and do an upgrade to 220pro before the owner realizes this and prices will go up accordingly.
Fanthorpes in the Uk have Expert Pro prices on their web-site - see bottom of page:

http://www.fanthorpes.co.uk/devialet/dev...837366.php

120 Pro (Guess they mean 130 Pro) - £4,989
220 Pro - £6,989 (Companion £5,989)
250 Pro - £12,489 (Companion £11,489)
440 Pro - £11,989
1000 Pro - £22,900

EDIT: So around a 25% increase over the current prices of the 120, 200 (27%) and 250 whilst the 400 owners get away with a mere 20% Smile
